"Do one thing every day that scares you" -- Eleanor Roosevelt
She began training Aikido in 2007 at Gishinkan Dojo in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her original instructor was Richard Price Sensei, a Godan (fifth degree black belt) who specializes in intensive and tactical training, and trains police across the US in practical Aikido. In 2010, she moved to Houston and has been a part of Wadokan Dojo since that time. She received her shodan (first degree black belt) in October of 2012. Her style reflects her dual training under both instructors, being both dynamic and effective. She also loves to incorporate counters and atemi’s into technique as teaching tools. She is currently a medical student, studying at Baylor College of Medicine, and plans to enter a residency in Neurology upon graduation.
